Declaration of independence, opennes, equality and safety for all participants of EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival
EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival is independent and open to anyone interested who acts both legally and ethically.
All participants in the Festival are treated with respect, regardless of their views, ethnic origin, nationality, religious beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or socio-economic status.
The Festival aims to create a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. We do not tolerate any forms of violence or discrimination.
1. Principles of openness, transparency, and support for equality and diversity of people involved in the preparation and implementation of the Festival and its accompanying events.
We support talented and creative individuals.
We promote diversity and equality among those participating in the Festival.
• Openness and equality.
✓ We accept submissions of audiovisual works and proposals for festival events through an open call from all individuals and institutions professionally engaged in the creation of moving images.
✓ We showcase the achievements of individuals and communities that have been marginalized in the film industry.
✓ We hire, in accordance with the law, competent and legally acting individuals for organizational tasks in the festival office, volunteering, selection and jury teams, mentoring programs, and for hosting festival meetings, regardless of any differences in their views, ethnic origin, religious beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, physical abilities, or socio-economic status.
✓ Anyone can have the opportunity to participate in screenings and festival events subject to available seating. Information about the sale of entry cards and tickets is published on the CAMERIMAGE Portal and the official Festival website.
• Transparent development and implementation of the Festival program.
✓ Equal rules for submitting audiovisual works and festival events, as outlined in the "Selection Terms & Conditions of EnergaCAMERIMAGE" and the entry forms published on the CAMERIMAGE Portal and the official Festival website.
✓ Audiovisual works submitted for the competitions are qualified based on their artistic value, while proposals for festival events are assessed based on their substantive value.
✓ The qualification process takes place regardless of any differences in views, ethnic origin, nationality, religious beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, physical abilities, and socio-economic status of those who submit audiovisual works and those who create them, as well as of those who submit event proposals for the Festival program.
✓ We publish, in accordance with the law (with consent for the use of personal data), lists of individuals participating in the film selection process for the Festival and those involved in the jury considerations for all competitions.
✓ We publish the full Festival program on the CAMERIMAGE Portal and the official Festival website, as well as in publications and informational materials accompanying the Festival.
• Diversity monitoring.
✓ We publish anonymized data outlining the composition and characteristics of the festival community to assess and optimize efforts aimed at equalizing opportunities for marginalized individuals and groups in the film industry.
• Festival accessibility for people with disabilities.
We facilitate participation in the Festival for people with disabilities by providing clear signage for rooms and communication routes in festival buildings, with plans and descriptions of these markings published on the CAMERIMAGE Portal and the official Festival website.
✓ Festival staff and volunteer attendants direct people with disabilities to architecturally accessible entry points to the festival buildings and rooms.
✓ We designate special seating in our screening rooms for individuals with mobility disabilities.
✓ We organize film screenings for people with visual and hearing impairments.
2. Counteracting aggression, discrimination, and abuse.
• We are opposed to all forms of aggression, particularly military aggression and indifference towards it. We do not cooperate with individuals or institutions supporting or tolerating such military actions.
• We oppose all forms of discrimination. We strive to eliminate negative emotions and support peaceful actions.
• We do not tolerate violence, abuse, or other forms of persecution- physical, verbal, psychological, or sexual- against any person, group of people, or community.
• We support individuals who are the victims of or at risk of abuse or aggression.
• In the case of actions that may involve criminal conduct, any participant in the Festival can report them to security or receive assistance at the Festival reception to contact emergency services at the emergency number 112.
• We establish a medical assistance point at the Festival Center.
3. Collaboration with partners and sponsors.
The Festival expects all collaborating individuals and institutions to adhere to the following principles:.
• Partnership agreements and contracts for collaboration in the organization of the Festival are concluded based on the principles outlined in this document.
• Entities cooperating with the Festival are encouraged to implement similar principles within their institutions and organizations.
