A writer, traveller, archaeologist and British intelligence agent. Gertrude Bell always did what she wanted to do. She loved risk and adrenaline. Some people called her an “arrogant Oxford woman”. She consistently proved that she was better than others and in the Arab world achieved a position that at the time seemed impossible for a woman, even in Britain. Her life is an adventure in which all her dreams came true except one – love.
