The end of February is a major celebration for fans of the series Twin Peaks. It was on February 24th at 11:00 AM that Agent Dale Cooper arrived in the titular town and recorded the message that began one of the most iconic stories in television history. This year, the event took on special significance due to the recent passing of David Lynch, the creator of the series. In light of this, the Tumult Foundation and the European Film Centre Camerimage—organizers of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival—prepared a unique event that combined tradition with a tribute to the legendary director.

Thanks to the support of Marshal of the Voivodeship Piotr Całbecki and City President Paweł Gulewski, from February 17th to 24th this year, we once again held an event during which Toruń's restaurants and cafés served excellent coffee and cherry pie—a nod to David Lynch's famous series. This year, over 20 venues participated, each offering their own version of this iconic treat. Additionally, a vote was held during the event to determine the best pie.

The culmination of the week-long celebrations honoring the cult series was the screening of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, which took place on February 24th at the Camerimage Cinema. Before the screening, attendees could enjoy cherry pie, drink "damn fine coffee," and take commemorative photos at a themed photo wall. The atmosphere of the event attracted numerous fans who enthusiastically joined in celebrating the Twin Peaks universe. As the President of the Tumult Foundation and Director of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival said:

"For me, this is a particularly important event. For several years now, we have been organizing such gatherings dedicated to David's work. Seven years ago, we were with him in Los Angeles on the set of the third season. Our film equipment supported that production. Kazik Suwała, my son Paweł, and Agnieszka Swoińska had a great time with David on set, watching him work with the actors and crew."

Among the participants were true enthusiasts of the series. One of them was Jakub Andryszak, who traveled to Toruń specifically from Poznań. Mr. Jakub owns a model of the tape recorder featured in the series, on which Kyle MacLachlan, the actor who played the lead role, recorded the famous line, "Diane, it's 11:30, February 24th. Entering Twin Peaks." This is a reference to one of the most iconic scenes in television history. Also present at the screening was Marcin Jurzysta, Deputy Director of the City President's Office in Toruń and, above all, a great admirer of David Lynch's work. He introduced the audience to the world of Twin Peaks and emphasized the series' significance for popular culture and the director's impact on cinematography.

The film screening was so popular that the organizers had to arrange an additional showing on February 25th. Twin Peaks continues to have a loyal and growing fan base, ready to celebrate every aspect of this universe. This is a positive sign for the future of the Twin Peaks Museum being created by the Foundation and Marek Żydowicz.

The event was not only an opportunity for collective celebration but also a tribute to the creator whose works will forever remain in the hearts of fans around the world.
