We are delighted to unveil the long-awaited poster promoting this year’s edition of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival. The design pays tribute to the magic of cinema, while evoking the circus-like aura of wonder and mystery. It draws attention not only to the art of seeing, but also to the art of illusion, inviting viewers to join in a shared game of imagination.
The poster concept was created by Marek Żydowicz, Director of EnergaCAMERIMAGE, with its visual framework developed by Nadia Kasprowicz, a young graphic designer who collaborates with the Festival and has an excellent understanding of its guiding vision.

At the heart of the composition stands a smartly dressed prestidigitator, drawing from the depths of a black top hat the Golden Frog – the emblem not only of our Festival, but also one of Toruń’s most recognisable symbols. Here, the hat plays a key role, functioning like a camera obscura, conjuring from darkness a gleaming trophy that heralds the ultimate triumph over the shadows. Summoned into being by the magician’s gesture, the frog becomes a spark of a new idea, the seed of a story which, in the right hands, takes on form, colour, and true magic.
The design deliberately weaves together two traditions of the art of illusion – cinematic and theatrical – while subtly evoking the symbolism of the circus as a place where magic tricks and audience wonder create a shared sense of experience. It is our tribute to the artistic sensibility of David Lynch, who passed away this year, a friend and advocate of the Festival’s mission, and an artist who often drew on the circus’s imagination and the mystery of performance in his work.
The magician’s gesture here converges with that of the cinematographer: the precision of working with light and shadow, the art of revealing and concealing. The Golden Frog, like a fresh idea, springs from the top hat illuminating the darkness of the theatre and reminding us that cinema unites the mastery of craft with the metaphysics of creative vision. This transformation – from idea to image, from darkness to light – becomes the central theme of our poster. It casts a spell we hope you will fall under with us.
Nadia Kasprowicz, known online under the pseudonym genitivart, is a master’s student in Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. She began her journey with illustration thanks to cinema, which surrounded her from childhood. Drawing inspiration from it, she started working with color to capture in her works the emotions evoked while watching films. As a result, her expressive images take on a surreal character, referencing the interwar period. She primarily creates using digital techniques, though she does not shy away from traditional methods either.
