Ladies and Gentlemen,
This year, the renowned International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography enters a new, landmark chapter under its official name, ToruńCAMERIMAGE. The decision to make the festival’s home city an integral part of the identity of one of the world’s most important film festivals represents a conscious investment in the future, securing Toruń’s lasting presence on the global cultural stage. Here in Toruń, we greatly value the festival’s international recognition and reputation. I therefore see the inclusion of our city’s name in the festival’s official title as a step that preserves the international strength of its remarkable cultural potential.
ToruńCAMERIMAGE 2026 will once again bring thousands of visitors, distinguished filmmakers and industry professionals from around the world to Toruń, providing a unique platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences among cinema experts. As in previous years, this year’s edition will delight audiences with its rich programme of events and ten competition sections. Together, we will also pay tribute to Andrzej Wajda and his remarkable body of work as we mark the centenary of the Polish cinema master’s birth.
The festival’s eight days will offer us unforgettable artistic experiences, while Toruń will once again demonstrate that it is a place where history blends harmoniously with artistic creativity, modernity and global ambition.
I wish you all a wonderful and inspiring experience at the 34th edition of ToruńCAMERIMAGE!
Paweł Gulewski
Mayor of City of Toruń
