Great cinema begins with a sensitivity to the image. As a festival that, for over three decades, has been reminding audiences that the visual side is one of the most vital tools of cinematic storytelling, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with the "Malarskie Kadry" (Painterly Frames) film workshops and the "What's Your Story" Film Foundation.
"Malarskie Kadry" is a unique, interdisciplinary educational project that perfectly bridges the worlds of film and visual arts. Since March, young creators from all over Poland—students of film schools and academies of fine arts-have been working in interdisciplinary teams on original short films inspired by painting. Together, they develop screenplays, directorial concepts, cinematography, production design, and costumes, searching for their own unique visual language.

Crucially, the development of these young talents is overseen by outstanding figures of Polish cinema. The lineup of mentors includes:
Adam Sikora - Outstanding cinematographer known for films such as Essential Killing, Angelus, Four Nights with Anna, and The Mill and the Cross.
Filip Zylber – Esteemed film and television director.
Wiesław Saniewski – Acclaimed director and screenwriter.
Andrzej Haliński – Distinguished production designer, co-creator of the visual worlds of many classic Polish productions.
Dorota Roqueplo – Outstanding costume designer, responsible for the wardrobe of the most important contemporary film and television productions.
Jerzy Rudziński – Experienced cinematographer.
The Final Stretch
The participants have already completed months of intensive lectures, consultations, workshop sessions, and exciting shooting days on set. Now, they face the final stretch: editing, post-production, and the final presentation of their completed works.
This is just the beginning of the journey for these talented creators. At CAMERIMAGE, we love to witness such stories and support the development of a new generation of filmmakers who put the image at the center of their attention.
