TThe awards season is gathering momentum, and this year’s 83rd Golden Globe Awards ceremony has become a true celebration of the cinema we championed together during the last edition of EnergaCAMERIMAGE. It is with great satisfaction that we followed the announcement of the winners, which confirmed what our audience had known since November – the past year belonged to filmmakers who are bold, uncompromising, and who place immense importance on the visual storytelling of their narratives.

This year’s gala winners are largely titles that graced our screens, sparking vibrant discussions among industry professionals and film enthusiasts alike. A major winner of the night was the film "One Battle After Another", which secured four trophies, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, as well as Best Director and Best Screenplay for Paul Thomas Anderson. In the drama categories, "Hamnet" triumphed as Best Motion Picture – Drama, with Jessie Buckley also receiving a statuette for her performance.

It is worth highlighting that the Golden Globes also recognized films that prioritize innovation and the power of the image. "Sinners", directed by Ryan Coogler, was honored not only for Ludwig Göransson’s original score but also for its outstanding Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. In the acting categories, Rose Byrne triumphed, winning Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You".

In television, the series "The Studio" was named Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, with Seth Rogen taking home the award for Best Actor. Meanwhile, the production "Adolescence" completely dominated the limited series categories, winning Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television, alongside acting honors for Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty, and Owen Cooper.

A particularly heartwarming highlight of the evening was the recognition for the film "Sentimental Value". Directed by Joachim Trier with stunning cinematography by Kasper Tuxen, this film received the Audience Award at the most recent EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival. We take immense pride in this – the fact that our audience was among the first to recognize this film’s brilliance, and that Stellan Skarsgård has now received the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, confirms the incredible intuition of our festival community.

We are proud that EnergaCAMERIMAGE remains a place where future global successes are born. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners, and especially to the cinematographers whose work allows us to see the world in such extraordinary colors. See you at the next screenings!
