Jana Hojdová, a cinematography student at Prague’s FAMU, contacted Robert Richardson about her master’s project. To her surprise, he replied. The student project grew into a creative partnership and a deep friendship. Richardson gave her access to his private video archives and personal and professional life. Jana travelled with him around the world, attended the Academy Awards® and observed film productions involving Q. Tarantino, O. Stone and M. Scorsese. The result is an intimate portrait of a renowned cinematographer and a story of courage, passion and determination.
