CAMERIMAGE FESTIVAL DIRECTOR BECOMES ASC HONORARY MEMBER!

We have received joyful news from Stephen Lighthill, President of the American Society of Cinematographers and Lowell Peterson, Chairman of the Membership Committee of ASC that the society's Board of Governors has elected Marek Żydowicz, the Director of Camerimage Festival, as an Honorary Member of the American Society of Cinematographers. This amazing distinction is a token of the recognition of Marek Żydowicz for the creation and years of leadership of Camerimage, The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography and the contribution Marek and the Festival have made to the art of cinematography.

American Society of Cinematographers is a non-profit association dedicated to advancing the art of filmmaking. Since its charter in 1919, the ASC has been committed to educating about the art and craft of cinematography and has been actively involved in the development of motion-picture technologies. The ASC also works to promote a better understanding of the cinematographer's contributions to the filmmaking process. ASC membership has become one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a professional cinematographer, a mark of prestige and distinction.
