An exhibition chronicling Polish filmmakers in Hollywood by Jacek Laskus, ASC, PSC
16th - 23rd November Hotel Słoneczny Młyn ul. Jagiellońska 96
Cinematographer and photographer Jacek Laskus, ASC, PSC, will be presenting a selection of images from his photographic work for the new book HOLLYWOOD.PL, a collection of interviews with Polish filmmakers about their personal roads to the silver screen.
The exhibition is organized by ARRI in partnership with Camerimage and the Leon Wyczólkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz, and will be available for all to view at the hotel throughout the festival.
A native of Poland, Laskus' extensive film, television and documentary credits include films lensed in the U.S. and abroad with directors such as Robert Altman, Daniel Petrie Sr. and Jonathan Demme. His most recent projects took him to Nepal, India, Rwanda, Peru and The Republic of Georgia. He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and the Polish Society of Cinematographers, and his work has twice been nominated for an ASC Award.
I've always indulged my strong passion for photography, exhibiting work both in the U.S. and Europe, Laskus notes. I truly enjoy telling stories with unique and compelling images; this book has provided me with an opportunity to do so.
