At the onset of the Covid19 Pandemic ASC members, Amy Vincent and Erik Messerschmidt, formed the ASC Future Practices Committee to discuss the impact the pandemic would have on not just the craft of cinematography but filmmaking in general. Over the course of the spring, summer, and fall months, the committee met several times a week with numerous members of the worldwide film committee to discuss the upcoming challenge of returning to work. The members of the ASC Future Practices committee will come together for a discussion of the quarantine experience, remote preparation, virtual scouting, and the remote technologies enabling cinematographers to continue to create images. Approximately 5-6 cinematographers from the ASC FPC will join the panel.
