Stephen Lighthill, the current president of American Society of Cinematographers, head of the American Film Institute Conservatory Cinematography program, welcomes all festival attendees to a discussion of the AFI conservatory approach to filmmaking education with an emphasis on the Cinematography discipline. Mr Lighthill will be joined by recent alumni at this reception and conversation about AFI. For over forty years, the AFI cinematography program has been one of the few programs offering an advanced Master of Fine Arts degree in cinematography. During that time, an amazing group of alumni have gone on to prominent careers. Please join us to briefly review some Vissual Essays from Cinematography Fellows at AFI, and a discussion of the evolving environment of filmmaking in general and cinematographers in particular. All festival attendees are welcome.
Event available without any booking.
