A love story of two people from two culturally distant worlds. Swedish photojournalist Ingrid, kidnapped and imprisoned in the Middle Eastern desert by a group of Palestinians, falls in love with one of her kidnappers, Ali, who turns out to be sympathetic to her. The group’s leader, Moussa, grows suspicious of Ali for wanting to betray his comrades, which complicates an already difficult situation, thus reducing Ingrid’s chances of escaping. An important role in the film is played by the desert itself: it reveals the truth about human souls.
