"Empty Spaces" tells the story of an older woman and her housekeeper, set in Guatemala City. It shows the boundaries in their relationship despite living isolated within the same domestic space. It explores the loneliness these women share, the acceptance of aging and losing agency over one’s own body, and the hardships of living far from those you love to make a living.
