It is with deepest regret that we inform that Jerzy Płażewski (1924-2015), one of the most prominent Polish film critics and a true friend of Camerimage, passed away. Jerzy Płażewski supported us from the very beginning, in 1993 he became a member of the first ever Festival jury. He was present at each and every edition of Camerimage, always eager to help and assist with his experience and immeasurable knowledge.
