BEST OF FH DORTMUND

During the upcoming 22nd edition of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography CAMERIMAGE we will screen films from two prestigious European film schools – Lodz Film School (formerly The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz) and FH Dortmund (Fachhochschule Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts).

Although it is considered an underdog among German film schools, Fachhochschule Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts is widely acclaimed for its strong focus on visual storytelling. The idea behind the carefully designed school curriculum is to make cinematographers, still photographers, graphic designers, room and object designers, sound designers, and other future professionals influence each other's work. The films to be screened as a part of the festival were produced, directed and edited by cinematographers - artists who strive constantly to find new means of storytelling. The school produces films that belong both to the classic genres of cinema, as well as experimental projects, music videos, commercials, and documentaries. For 21 years FH Dortmund has been educating not only professional cinematographers and filmmakers, but also - most importantly - truly visionary artists.
